Austin is a Principal and oversees all capital markets and operations activities across Cherry Tree. Previously, Austin co-led the Capital Markets and Corporate Development team for CloudKitchens, a global developer and operator of ghost kitchen properties led by former Uber founder, Travis Kalanick.

In that role, Austin worked on a variety of transactions which amounted to $1B+ of institutional capital raised for the business. Austin was also responsible in securing the company’s $700M warehouse credit facility which became the first institutional-led capital raise in the ghost kitchen sector and was pivotal in forging the company’s relationships with key global banks.

Before CloudKitchens, Austin worked in JP Morgan’s Real Estate Asset Management group where he was directly involved in deal structuring, underwriting, and managing a $50B+ portfolio of commercial real estate assets across the US — including office, industrial, and multifamily.
